Welcome This website is dedicated to the newly constructed World War II Memorial in Manatawny Park, Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The memorial will stand as an everlasting testament to the over 3,900 men and women from Pottstown and “the three Pottsgrove townships” who served during that great conflict from 1941 to 1945. It has been nearly 63 years since the end of World War II and since the creation of what has become known as “The Greatest Generation”. Then, these men and women were simply doing their duty; today they fade away as heroes. The time has come to memorialize these unsung heroes forever. Help us honor their sacrifice and bravery, as we build a piece of monumental history right in our community. While much has been completed on this project, much remains to be accomplished. With your continuing support we can FINISH THE JOB. Please review the pages of our site to see how you can contribute to this cause. Thank you for your interest in our efforts to build and complete this memorial. 610-327-8577 |
If you can’t share a monetary or material donation at this time, you might consider sharing your story. We are building a living, online history of the Pottstown WWII veterans. Feel free to send us your story and photo to include on this site on the Their Stories page. |
